![]() ![]() 'Hallelujah' is a Hebrew word meaning 'Praise the Lord'. ![]() The mystical 15th could merely reflect a slight change in lyrics of one verse, or may simply have been a mistake by Cale. It looks like this involves seeing each verse as two verses (they could be seen this way by simply splittling them in half), which gives 14 verses. There has been much speculation about '15 verses' of Cohen's song, based on a comment made by John Cale. Burke sang a shorter version than Buckley, taking 2 verses from the 1984 original and one from the 1988 version. Buckley's song takes 2 verses from the 1984 version and three from the 1988 version. In 1988, he sang a different song, with 3 new verses (shown here in red) and the same concluding verse. ![]() Here are the versions (click on each for lyrics):Ĭohen's original song contained 4 verses (shown here in black). So, where do the three versions come from and what do they mean? The original, written and released in 1984, also made it into the same Top 40 chart for the week beginning 15th December 2008. Amazingly, the number two song on the same charts was Jeff Buckley's version of the same song. 'Hallelujah' was the UK Christmas number one for X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke in 2008. ![]()

![]() “Karen’s never really had a home, as long as we’ve known her on this series, and with Foggy off living his glamorous life, I think I feel really adrift. “Considering how things were left between Karen and Matt at the end of season two and Defenders, there’s a lot of guilt and a feeling that things are unresolved,” Deborah Ann Woll said. Karen, meanwhile, is refusing to believe that Matt is really dead. “The Karen and Foggy storylines play a major role in prescription for how to defeat fear, and the narcissistic tyrants who would use fear against us, to divide us against one another.” Henson revealed that Foggy’s father and brother will be introduced early in the season. “I’m a huge fan of dramas that treat every single character like the hero of their own story,” Oleson said. ![]() When season three launches October 19, helmed by new showrunner Erik Oleson, it will also focus heavily on the show’s roots and core cast, fleshing out the characters of Karen (Deborah Ann Woll) and Foggy (Elden Henson). ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm surprised I got through this book, especially considering one of the most glaring flaws was characterization. This is an even better setup for intrigue and sizzle than the setup in Jane Eyre! But, believe you me, this book ain't no Jane Eyre. There was a great deal of potential in the plot, such as: a governess who stumbles upon a secret is forced to remain as a mute in the secret-holder's household. The plot was bland, the conflict was bland, the romance was bland (not because of the lack of, um, physical carnality but because there was not even a fizzle-much less a spark- between the two characters), and the characters were bland. ![]() ![]() Upon finishing, I still hold to that statement. I noted while I was reading that this book was like vanilla pudding with vanilla sprinkles on a very vanilla day. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() When the Ghost Man consumes a large red food, he will become invincible for a while and can swallow the ghosts.
